Meet, Greet & Feed

Meet, Greet & Feed the Alpacas
Booking times: 10am, 12 noon & 2pm (& 4pm is possible upon request during summer holidays)
Duration: 60 or 90 minutes from £16.00 (adults),
Under 4’s FREE
Age restriction: None
Minimum 2 people per booking
A delightful experience suitable for all ages & abilities.
We will stroll through the farm to the paddocks, where you can observe the daily antics of the alpacas. Each day brings something new! The girls and boys are separated, so there will be at least two large groups for you to meet.
You’ll likely hear the gentle hum as alpacas ‘chat’ with one another before happily hand-feeding from visitors; we provide ready-sliced carrots for each paid attendee (included in the booking price), so no surprise extras to purchase. If you prefer not to hand-feed, the alpacas will gladly accept ground-level delivery of the carrots!
You will also have the opportunity to learn a little about the history of alpacas and why they are kept today & see some of the shorn fleeces & products these beautiful animals contribute to.
When the ground is dry, we can also gladly accommodate wheelchair users; the walkway is short-grass and on a slight incline.
Maximum group of 12 people per booking & priced per person. Children 4 & under are free when each is accompanied by a full-paying adult (for safety).
Please remember to select ‘extra carrots’ for children under 4 when booking.
Each reservation is exclusively for your group, allowing us to provide an outstanding experience tailored to the attendees’ needs (unless on designated dates when bookings are available for up to 12 participants, forming a public group.
We aim to open at the end of March each year through to the end of October, weather permitting.

Duration: 2 hours from £35.00pp
Age restriction: none
Minimum 2 people per booking
Why not join us for a Meet, Greet & Feed plus a behind-the-scenes adventure? Let’s unravel the entire alpaca farming journey, from the paddocks where you will meet these gentle creatures, all the way to the cosy yarns, hats & scarves and blankets that grace our shelves.
In our charming little shop, visitors often find themselves captivated by the workings of the mill that they can glimpse through the windows. It’s like peeking into a world of woolly wonder or paca perfection! But what truly astonishes them is the intricate process that unfolds within the mill walls—the transformation of raw alpaca fleeces into soft, luxurious yarn, which is then crafted into delightful products.
Carrots are provided for your MG&F. We respectfully suggest that the mill tour may not be suitable for small children, though they are very welcome. Under 4’s are free.
Please note that machinery will not be running due to the nature of our industry & insurance restrictions. Please take a look at our Mill & shop sites:
